So it’s saturday again, my third weekend in London…I live about 40 mins from the Emirates stadium. The gooners home, the 470 million greyhounds worth of metal, bricks and carpet like playing surface. Unfortunately its not brought us the most luck over the past 7 years but its does look very swanky…and I guess at the minute that is exactly what we represent on the pitch, swanky. Sunderland today in the cup, must win…actually theres not much point in saying that it’s so obvious its a ‘must win’. If the same situation happens as last year and we go out of a bunch of cups in quick succession, then the fan’s may actually burst onto the pitch and cut the ineligible Nicky Bendtner into a million pieces and scatter him throughout the north east…due to frustration. I’m pro Wenger, completely, he’s without a doubt a genius but this is such a big game against a smaller team that he has to win. The FA Cup needs to be a priority, barring a miracle on the 5th of march against AC milan in the Champions League then this is a brilliant opportunity in front of us. Anyway, my battery is about to run out so that will do for this week, viva la […]
“There is no racism [on the field], but maybe there is a word or gesture that is not correct,” I dunno, I’ve been reading and watching people go through Sepp Blatter because of his ‘racist’ remarks. First of all id like to state I’m in no way a massive Sepp Blatter fan! However I do kind of like him, not as FIFA president, as an old man. He’s hardly the most hateful man in the world, possibly in the wrong position, career wise but he’s probably right in what he says. Is there racism in football? Possibly a little bit, but no more than any other work place, this doesn’t mean I agree with it. Racism shouldn’t be part of are lives, neither should rape or theft or bullying but it does because there is always going to be ‘evil’, some people more than others. Anyway, I’m going of point…Sepp Blatter, doesn’t deserve the headlines, if we all could shake hands after heat of the moment anger then the world would be a better place. I understand his comments, I think we are jumping on ‘rio Luther kings’ back, it’s funny how the media can influence such hatred of certain […]
I’m not sure who, what over even what age the guy was today that beat me 4-3 online today. I do however know I hate them, whoever thinks its a good idea to watch there own replays is very much a ass, whoever celebrates scoring a goal that was merely a tap in from a mistake retarded defenders do for no reason at all, is I’m afraid an ass. FIFA have however created a game that turns the mild mannered church boy into the spawn of evil, with the first time the striker hits the post it turns nasty, “f” bombs coming out of mouths around the world in as many countries. Now take for about 57% of my FIFA relationship, 43% is the opposite, silky runs, glorious goals, quick feet and hard tackles makes me the happiest person in the world! Football is just a game, FIFA 12 is even more of a game, if you believe that you’ve never played either!
With no Super Sunday on the football/soccer front I am left tonight with the American’s version of football! As a huge fan of this sport I come across to many people especially over here that say the same thing, “it’s crap, to many breaks, I don’t even understand it” Well that’s why you don’t like it because you don’t understand it….! If I didn’t understand something and it stopped all the time I wouldn’t enjoy it either, hardly rocket science, but if y want to like something then you watch and learn! Another reason I think people don’t give NFL a chance is because it’s, well, American. Now I have grown up in awe of america and loved the land they love. Fireworks, Cheerleaders, fighter jets and hot dogs. That may seem excessive for just another game of “football”, but to them it’s not just another game of football. It’s Friday night lights, it’s Monday night football, it’s the opportunity to forget about the daily grind and follow your team to the end. For american’s this is it, for “football fans” (except of course college ball), this is it. No league 2, no Johnstone paint trophy, the NFL is it, […]
