28 days later, some show. Cillian Murphy is a genius actor, love his stuff and don’t even get me started on Danny Boyle. Anyway, Zombies….I started to think what if I actually woke up and BOOM everyone one was gone, I was standing there like big Will Smith in I Am Legend, ripped, looking good….I am thinking what the heck am I going to do! Now let’s say, I already know there’s zombies out there and they don’t like daylight (caus it’s way easier for me to survive then), what do I do? 1, I get a cool car, probably a mustang or a lambo. 2, I get as many guns as possible. 3, I find a desert island and build my very on Tracey island, because everyone know’s zombies cant swim or destroy beaches, it’s always big cities. So say I’m not Will Smith, I was thinking what happens if I decide, hey being a zombie seems like the norm, ill try that…first thing I wana know before making the commitment….Can they understand each other? It seems like there’s a lot of noise and not much organisation. I dunno I just would like a few guarantees before the big […]
As Peter Griffin wins a jousting battle against the voice of Will Ferrell, I realised I need a new Ferrell movie in my life. As a fan of anything funny I think it has been long enough since the Other Guys, now I have filled this gap by re watching his anchorman’s, semi pros, even his behind two ferns, sometimes filling the gap by watching Danny McBride and Zach Galifianakis rivals to his comedy genius….! Yet I still have a longing for a simple idea, a simple sport related comedy, another Talladega. I have however heard and seen the trailer for his new flick Casa de mi Padre, it looks good, could be touch and go but as always I will be there popcorn in hand for the release hoping to fulfil my longing p.s. my Spanish is terrible so I’m hoping the subtitles are brilliant! #lovewill G
After the release of Rihanna’s new music video “we found love” I have watched it a gazillion times, the edited version on TV and the unedited one someone stuck up on YouTube. Everyone I have chatted to has slated it, saying its dreadful, its not that good. I’m from Northern Ireland, the same place the video was shot, so the people I have talked to seem to think the video is somewhat saying that Rihanna thinks Northern Ireland is “hopeless”. I tend to disagree, what I think Rihanna is saying is that LOVE can be found anywhere, slums, crack dens, mansions, hotels, jail it doesn’t matter, hopeless doesn’t mean a “bad” place, I think with her video set in the New Lodge council estate in Belfast is as good a place as any to say that happiness, that joy and ultimately LOVE can be found here, there or anywhere. “Yellow diamonds in the light Now we’re standing side by side As your shadow crosses mine What it takes to come alive” The video is about 2 young people dealing with life, drugs, sex and money. It’s unfortunately a part of growing up to most (not all) and Rihanna touches on […]
Just as I sit here watching ‘the big bang theory’ I started playing with a bottle of sprite and was disappointed to finally realise they had got rid of stretchy, plasticy, cling film type labels. The ones when you poked your finger through created an imprint of your finger. I then realised how easy it is for companies/anything to change slightly the smallest detail without anyone even noticing. I don’t think I like these new labels, they are not quite as fun 🙁 proberably something to do with safety. Safety runs everything. Anyway that’s what’s up. G
I’m not sure who, what over even what age the guy was today that beat me 4-3 online today. I do however know I hate them, whoever thinks its a good idea to watch there own replays is very much a ass, whoever celebrates scoring a goal that was merely a tap in from a mistake retarded defenders do for no reason at all, is I’m afraid an ass. FIFA have however created a game that turns the mild mannered church boy into the spawn of evil, with the first time the striker hits the post it turns nasty, “f” bombs coming out of mouths around the world in as many countries. Now take for about 57% of my FIFA relationship, 43% is the opposite, silky runs, glorious goals, quick feet and hard tackles makes me the happiest person in the world! Football is just a game, FIFA 12 is even more of a game, if you believe that you’ve never played either!
20:15, leaving the computer humming I hop in the car, swing by Mearnzis and off to the movie house, Glengormley. Glengormley cinema is retro, old school cinema, smells like a laundry shop and I half expected there to be an interval for some guy with a torch to sell ice cream, but no such luck. Warrior was the film of choice, and a good choice at that. For a film about UFC I was expecting it to be rough and tumble, explosive ring fighting stuff without much of a storyline but I was happily proved wrong! A tear jerker I was not expecting maybe it surprised me and that’s what had me biting my lip or maybe I’m just a bit of a girl when the sad music starts playing. Apart from my bladder nearly exploding I enjoyed the show and loved the performances from Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte! Live long and prosper…
SO here it is, the final day of what seems like eternity. Actually it was only 2 weeks ago since the premier league was on, but it may of well have been the summer break, if you don’t already know me I’m a gooner (gooner: arsenal fan to those “women”) ((“women”: anyone who doesn’t like football/sport/things I like)) I’m excited, maybe because it’s a new weekend, the boy’s have had time off able to regroup maybe even do some defending in training, who knows?! Arsenal are at home to Sunderland this Sunday, sitting 15th in the table on 7pts with a goal difference of -6 doesn’t feel great but as Alan Davies always says, “it’s back on” and hey we are still in all trophies…but then again nearly everyone is. I suppose if they do get beat and I lose all faith in them at least this weekend has plenty of other sports, the rugby is on, hoping the All Blacks dump on the Aussies. NFL is rumbling through, Detroit of to a very unusual unbeaten start, and then we have the best Moto GP track at Philip Island, and apart from stoner doing well it’s been a great season […]
Reading a few articles and watching the news about David Haye retiring from the world of boxing before his 31st birthday, can’t help but smile! Not because I think he’s making the right decision or because it seems like he has worked hard enough in his life to have the opportunity to retire at this age! I think I smiled because it shows the how embarrassing it is to be a British athlete, yes and I know boxing is pretty embarrassing anyway when we look at how the mayweather vs pac man fight is never going, but for this guy to retire after beating a bunch of nobody’s, beating a monster who couldn’t punch and loved poetry to thinking he’s one of the best and deserves to retire, that’s embarrassing. I hope this isn’t how sports end up, with people doing enough to earn millions without putting there hearts and talent on the line without actually fighting for what they are worth for selling out and scamming fans into supporting them, however I’m sure it won’t be long until he’s back in the ring, back from retirement, back for the title, the haymaker or maybe the moneymaker. Sad how money […]
Lying on bed listening to U2, one of my favourite bands in the world. Live, without a doubt a different class, lyrically I could listen to them over and over… Maybe you love, like or hate U2 you have to give them credit for being who they are, sticking around for 20 years plus, maybe 20 to many, having a cult status, household name, the edge and Bono. Really my blog today is about sunglasses, but I had to mention U2 first and there awesomeness. Subclasses to me don’t work in low light or rain, Bono at Glastonbury was wearing them in both. Either he has the best low light eyes in the world or he’s obsessed with glasses. in fact actually sunglasses aren’t really that important in this blog I don’t care what people say about U2, they are quality. Either they haven’t listened to them enough or they are caught up in there own “hater” bible and can’t let go. With or without you U2 are one of the best bands ever.
With no Super Sunday on the football/soccer front I am left tonight with the American’s version of football! As a huge fan of this sport I come across to many people especially over here that say the same thing, “it’s crap, to many breaks, I don’t even understand it” Well that’s why you don’t like it because you don’t understand it….! If I didn’t understand something and it stopped all the time I wouldn’t enjoy it either, hardly rocket science, but if y want to like something then you watch and learn! Another reason I think people don’t give NFL a chance is because it’s, well, American. Now I have grown up in awe of america and loved the land they love. Fireworks, Cheerleaders, fighter jets and hot dogs. That may seem excessive for just another game of “football”, but to them it’s not just another game of football. It’s Friday night lights, it’s Monday night football, it’s the opportunity to forget about the daily grind and follow your team to the end. For american’s this is it, for “football fans” (except of course college ball), this is it. No league 2, no Johnstone paint trophy, the NFL is it, […]
